The visit at the British Library have been a delightful discovery: not only it is an incredible resource for us students but it is also an incredibly inspiring place full of culture and diversity.
The attention for details, the preciseness of the way the whole library is managed and the vitality that you can feel while entering the Library create a perfect environment in which people are able to learn while also socialising. To me learning is sharing and that can just happen through communication. I was amazed by seeing people discussing philosophical themes at the Library’s bar, or explaining to each other the matter of their research. The building, as well, is structured in a concentric way that makes everything visible and bright and that creates a feeling of inclusion.
This is, in fact, what I think the power of culture is, or should be. Culture, if made available to everybody, should make human beings unite.
